02/22/11 (People Port) Back through El Paso, I found myself in an inspection line. Our Border Guards were everywhere. I saw it as a choreographed extravaganza.
It featured Custom's dogs and personnel weaving through the line. Though a dark night, lights were everywhere. The agents uniforms were sharp, smiles. Even the dogs appeared to enjoy their work.
You knew what was coming and -why. The dogs were looking for guns, drugs, people and the like. The agents could not be more helpful. Miles later, people that went through that show, reminisced.
Some college kids did not approve, however, many enthusiastically supported this nation's attempt at solving our border problems. The show is worth seeing. The lines went by fast. Expect locals to start reappearing in line. From my perspective, It will give us in the audience, a chance to be awed.
