Can Private Life Offer Governing Insight

by J John Swanko

01/25/11 (People Port)
The swirl around Karima El Mahroug (Ruby), gave the Vatican another opportunity to address world leaders. The Holy Father again urges caution to leaders, Your private life could affect the direction chosen by those that are expected to build our tomorrows.

Karima, a Vanessa Gleason (Playboy Video Calender, April 2000) look-a-like, Pushed into headlines, denying the facts presented. No mention of her talents (an operatic voice like rocker, Adele?). Only another re-run of Prime Minister Berlusconi's greatest hits. Not his accomplishments, far too many to list, his short-comings. Italy knew his news, person, long before he was elected. That is why there is the saying, When in Rome... Often lamented by those seeking a new image for Italy.

Popes have offered guidance since Constantine. True, it was his taming the warring Christians, That gave them a voice, however, forever froze out those outside Rome's control. Here, the Church offers guidance, not ice. Like a Pastor ministering his flock, He points out the pitfalls a leader's overindulgence can have on any nations future. The words offered, come up fairly frequently. In 2006, as the Church was trying to understand corruption, the pastoral link to solution, rose. The Church sees the long view, That view has worked to raise up all people. The real question Italy may ask herself, Can Italy use these event to bring real change, men and women.

Note:

A large number of reports show Ruby as a belly-dancer, most of the young women attending, acted as lobbyists for among other thing a re-zoning. In this country, at one time the waiter serving up eggs and hash offered his opinion on current legislation. In this country, we are use to celebrities offering their prepared opinion on any subject. This appears to be a Roman version of a thirty years ago lobbing effort.
