Federal Reserve Live Webcast Of Open Meeting

12/14/10 (People Port) Another first at our Federal Reserve, Webcast of a meeting. Not done. Sure the Chairman has webcasted a townhall, this is really big.

Known for its, "You will have to wait six months to find out," version of transparency, This meeting covers the proposed rules governing debit card interchange fees and routing. What our Fed does, does not do, is studied around the world. Fortunes are made and lost as the Federal Reserve's Chairman speaks.

A webcast of meetings is a huge step forward. The webcast begins at 2:30 on December 16th. For many, the subject is a snoozer, however, the amounts we pay for the services, the future of those services are a concern.
