Update 08/31/10 to Yes Things Continue To Go Wrong, I am updating here because Google added stats to my pages. That was nice. Just between you -my one reader- and me, It would not matter if I slammed Google here, because, according to their stats, you and I are the only ones reading and could not possibly drive down their stock price. At this time, their stock price closed at $450.02.
Since I wrote, Stop Killing Off Innovation, Google has moved toward cloud computing. According to their top person told the world, Google was not late. Google, working with NASA, has developed what it is needed to create cloud computing for planet exploration.
I keep tabs on technology as a hobby right now. This earns me no money, and apparently false thanks. Well I have seen worse, however, I have trouble understanding, How Google continues to confuse the cloud computing business. You and I use Google's cloud computing tools every time we log on. All they really need, tighten up the programs developed in their lab to professional level. As an example, Blogger, has become professional, would need very little to become a leader in web page, form, design. Firms could rent in Google's cloud. Sure adding a browser compatible shell (a browser is one type of shell) would allow macros and the interaction within a cloud. Our government is looking for something that allows them to better scan for terrorists.
In the above example, Google is said to already be working with our government on that problem. Our government's overachievers are fiercely trying to make their IT platforms serve the citizen first, government agency second. You could not ask for a better cloud environment, yet, Google announces their work with NASA. From my perspective, maybe yours, they again missed the point by a solar system.
With all the talk of cloud computing today, it reminds me of Microsoft. Microsoft, like so many others, almost found themselves locked out of the Internet. They used their advantage. Google has many advantages. They do not act as though they comprehend them. They do not have to try market dominance, they already do. They only need to learn enough about business, to take advantage. I am sure the Wall Street firm trying to get a little work, that is sitting in their office would do just fine.
Notes:
Add Google's iterations to your spellcheck.
Yes -Google may use this copyrighted article -If- they send me a nice letter saying thanks and we fixed your site. I do not care how many people visit, I care how many ads are clicked. Try to understand, I can only use money as a ruler because everything else demonstrates to the world I have some mental deficiency. This may sound very cold, however, within People Port's articles, I have demonstrated the concept's limits. Get it through your head, I am a businessman -Not a guinea pig.
