Oil hitting Florida would be bad. Press reports indicate the oil closing in on Florida can be scooped up with nets, even large mesh nets. If the reports are accurate, a nice reward per barrel would help.
The MeMes would want the -$4,000 plus- fine per barrel spilled, The WeWes would do it for free. Giving people a sense of control over their plight would solve many problems. Our President would need one of his Red State, Blue State and now a White State (Independents) speeches. Some will still claim they must wear the white paper suit to cover up their anti-Obama t-shirt, however, Our President can deliver a speech. Laws will need waivers.
BP's fine should be lowered by the amount of barrels turned in. Dawn dishwashing detergent or some other approved soap would need temporary approval... You get the idea. A mobilization call from our President will give hope that this nightmare will one day end.
