People Port Editorial: Offer Bounty For First Oil Under New Permitting Rules

Many are predicting high gas prices again. Inevitable, the economy is coming back. Let US hope our car companies have included natural gas as an option. In the meantime, the Interior Department's Permitting process has been streamlined.

The net effect, quicker oil out of the ground. To help move this along, People Port recommends offering a bounty for those delivering oil through this new system. Not wanting to pick winners and losers, have a set time period with an exception for our Iraq, Afghanistan war vets. That should deliver the oil sooner, keeping down the price of crude.
