Our President is considering a new tax on Wall Street. Everyone cheer. Felt good however a better idea may be using that idea from the House. A bubble fee, one imposed on transactions that buy and sell commodities, stocks, options and the like.
As many economists suggest this is the Great Recession. Way better than a repeat of The Great Depression. Taxes choke off the economy. A bubble fee will mean fewer trades less profit on speculation. This allows speculation to continue and most of us will not notice the fee in our 401Ks. All those Governors that claimed their State was immune from this recession, have hurt their States. Like during the Great Depression, many times the cries for less debt and the like deepened and extended that depression. It could have been over in five years...
